How does Pre Workout Work?

Supplement Geek Spotlight Hello everyone! Today I am going to talk about something close to most people's hearts... pre-workout. People love their stimulation.I am going to break down the anatomy of a pre-workout. I am not going into great detail about each ingredient because I have plans for future post surrounding certain ingredients. General groups of ingredients of pre-workout are: Caffeine- Caffeine Anhydrous, Dicaffeine Malate, Green Tea Extract, Camellia Sinensis, Green Coffee extract, TeaCrineMost common is Anhydrous. Something with a caffeine blend is ideal for avoiding a "crash". Nootropics: DMAE, Bitter Orange (synephrine), Theanine, Tyrosine, Vitamin B6 Most common is Synephrine. DMAE is beginning to pop up more often now. These are also called focus agents. They wake the brain up without taxing your adrenal gland because they are not stimulants.Pump agents: Citrulline Malate, Agmatine Sulfate, Arginine, Glycerol, Betaine, L-Norvaline, Betaine Anhydrous, Beta Alanine (the tingles) These help increase circulation and the "pump" comes on quicker during your workouts.Endurance- Beta Alanine, Creatine (all forms), Carbs powder, Sodium Bicarbonate. All three serve a different purpose but the end result is increased endurance. BCAAs- Leucine, Isoleucine, ValineBCAAs are straight forward. They are in some pre-workout for recovery and anti-muscle wasting purposes. Pre-workouts are like snowflakes. They are all different. These ingredients are general and are found in different combinations and volumes.Lastly, pre-workout preference is based on the person. Some like high or low stimulants, some like high or low pump products. Come in and chat and we can tailor one to your needs.
